this morning we had our test run for our physics project.
we saw many unique shapes of our friends' systems.
but the best one I saw was the egg in a giant cone.
and it worked. O.O
since we had to release our system from 2.5m INSIDE the lab.
it was quite difficult because the height of lab was just slightly above 2.5m.
so the lab assistance removed a layer from the ceiling and we had to release our system above the ceiling.
there wasn't much room for us to adjust the position of system before releasing it.
wow.
and after Wen Leong released it, unfortunately it hit the ladder and it failed.
thus, our egg broke. =(
we appealed for retry
since it hit the ladder and that was why it failed right??
but that bloody lab assistance said he didn't see it hitting the ladder before landing.
and our lab tutor wasn't there to witness our test run.
hence, she had no choice but to listen to the lab assistance and fail us.
we were stunned and depressed.
we thought we were going to get the lowest mark.

but thank goodness.
THANK GOODNESS THAT I ASKED MY FRIEND TO RECORD OUR TEST RUN.
so after the lab,
we showed the video to our lab tutor.
and indeed from the video,
our system did hit the ladder before landing!
so, she gave us a chance for retry.
we fixed our system and we conduct our test run again.
this time, it was successful.
PHEW~~
although the overall mass of our system has increased because we added more layers for protection and we used a heavier egg.
thus we got lower marks.
but it didn't matter to us.
at long as we didn't fail. XD

oh.. seriously we thanked goodness for the video.
if not, it would be very difficult for us to appeal.
well, I wanted a video of our test run just for fun.
in the end, unbelievably it saved our project. O.o
and also thank goodness..
that I didn't point middle finger to our lab assistance. XD

then, we had lunch with Hsien Yang.
finally, Wen Leong knew about Hsien Yang becoming a Monash student. =.=
we had an okay time together....
though most of the time I couldn't hear him. (his voice is too soft so don't blame me XD)
then he took me to his center for a tour.

next, we had Dynamics and PSA lecture as usual.
